MP3 Players

The most important step in getting started with digital music is of course the MP3 or digital music player. These players are available in multiple brands and formats, from the popular Apple versions like the iPod, Nano and Shuffle, to Microsoft's Zune and Creative's Zen. Models with smaller memory (1 to 4 GB) can be as low as about $50 and can be an inexpensive way to get started. Players with larger memory can hold hundreds of albums and thousands of songs for days of listening pleasure. Designed to sync up with a personal computer, MP3 players can be loaded up with an existing CD library or individual songs can be purchased for around a buck if you don't want the whole album. Many players also play videos and can hold digital photos and other files as well.

TIP: GiftStashers, create a registry called Digital Music Starter Kit and save choices there until you're ready to buy.
